You can use it to get turn by turn directions wherever you go, and it can also get you to any location by just asking for it. Well, once you have reached the destination that you were going for, did you know that you can also get Siri to take you home automatically? It can show you the distance to how far you are as well as the route you need to take. Here’s how to get turn by turn directions from Siri:
1. Press the Home button for 2 seconds so as to activate Siri.

It can be anything, for instance, ask Siri ‘Directions to Taco Bell?’ Then wait till Siri comes up with a list of Taco bells around since Taco Bell is a popular location, you are likely to find multiple matches. It will display in the order of closest location first. You can obviously opt for other branches if you see fit.

3. Then, tap on the location to which you would like directions and Google maps will load and it will start your step by step directions to the desired location from your current location.
Apart from famous places, you can also find local businesses. For instance, if you search for ‘Italian Restaurants in Las Vegas’, Siri will automatically get to work and will bring about a list of all the restaurants that match your search query. Then, you will automatically be redirected to the Maps app after you have confirmed, and you will see the famous ‘blue pin’ on your map. You will also see a green car right beside it, so you need to press on it.
The application will show you numerous routes, asking you to choose between one that you find closest. Once you have made your choice, voice navigation will automatically begin, and the distance will be tracked accordingly, making it easier for you to get to your destination. Obviously, as Siri records your destination, you will also be able to get directions back home if you have marked your place on your Maps app or your Contact has your home address saved.
