A kindergarten teacher at Presbyterian Day School in Clarksdale, Mississippi, took an adorable picture of two of her students who fell asleep holding hands. She posted this picture on Facebook, which the school captioned as “❤Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7❤“, to share the lovely moment captured with their 811 followers.
Within 3 days the picture got ton of attention, more than 5000 likes, 3000+ shares and over 300 comments.
Olivia Ellis, a teacher at the school, told TODAY.com over the phone that the little girls, Lucy Harris Jackson and Samiyah Moore — both 6 years old — are in her senior kindergarten class. She said the two “met and then became best friends” almost immediately.
