The Battle

Nothing beats Samsung when it comes to creating Android smart phones, and the company has established itself at the helm of the cell phone market. There are a number of different products that Samsung has released, but when it comes to manufacturing handsets, nothing comes close to its Galaxy line of products. The Galaxy S2, when it was released, quickly rose to the top of the charts in terms of sales and stayed there for most parts. Even now, it is regarded as one of the best phones in the market. Google, on the other hand, took at a dab at making a phone with the Nexus. Considering the Android OS was developed by Google, they needed a phone to show it off properly. However, this time around, Google handed over the design and license for a Nexus phone to Samsung, which released the Galaxy Nexus as the first device to be running Ice Cream Sandwich. So which of these is better?

Samsung Galaxy Nexus

The Galaxy Nexus is the first device from Samsung that runs the Ice Cream Sandwich. It does not have any physical buttons, instead makes use of on screen buttons. It has a screen size of 4.65 inches, and has a very powerful dual core processing unit. The phone has a 5 MP camera with autofocus and a LED flash, and a beautiful curvature really sets the Galaxy Nexus apart from other competitors. For those who want style, substance and quality, the Galaxy Nexus is by far the best device to choose. The biggest attraction of the device, however, is the pre installed Ice Cream Sandwich, which can be updated to Android Jellybean as well. Most importantly, the phone also uses the same Super AMOLED screen as can be seen on all major Samsung flagship devices.

The Samsung Galaxy S2

The most successful phone of its generation, the Samsung Galaxy S2, blew everything out of the water when it was released. It features a dual core Exynos processing chip and one of the most beautiful screens that you will ever see on a phone, with super AMOLED display. However, it has a 8 MP camera with full HD recording and provides major customization options. It has one physical button as well as two capacitive touch buttons on each side. The phone can also be upgraded to the latest version of Android through an Over the Air update.
