How many times have we thought of buying something used from online websites like ebay or craigslist? A lot, right? But when buying used things from an complete strangers makes us doubt the quality of the product we turn to our friends, family or neighbors to make a purchase or trade something. Because, we (think) we know know and they can (or cannot) be trusted!
Take for example the case of one woman in Goldsboro, North Carolina. She bought a used freezer from her neighbor and literally found a dead body inside it.
According to police, the woman, (identity kept secret), had purchased a deep freezer from her neighbor’s daughter three week earlier in a yard sale. The seller said the freezer was being used as a time capsule (sealed shut with duct tape around the lid) for a class project with her Sunday school at church, and so was told not to open it just yet!

Someone from the church was supposed to come and pick up the contents of the freezer. However, after three weeks, no one had come by and she decided to look inside. That’s when she found the body parts.

“I have a serious problem. My neighbor sold me a deep freezer. I just opened it and there’s a body in there I think,” she told 911. “I am freaking out.” Testing later confirmed that the remains were actually human.
Police said the person in the freezer died of natural causes, but were waiting to release the name until next of kin can be notified.

Police said they are currently investigating the crime and are trying to figure out what exactly happened. The seller could be facing felony charges of concealing or failing to notify the death of a person.
