Before indulging into what could possibly be the future of AI, we first need to understand the journey it has been through since decades!

So Here It Goes;

When a British logician and mathematician named Alan Turing, in 1950, formulated a test to check the capability of a machine to think like a human does. After a variety of setbacks and successes, today, we have reached a stage where technologies are uniting, and data is increasing.

We can’t even imagine a day when a type of AI technology is not helping us. From smart replies in Gmail, spam filters, to Google maps and mobile banking, AI has not left a stone unturned to reach where it is now!

What the Future Holds?

To understand what the future of AI- Artificial Intelligence is, it is also necessary to know the prevailing upgrades and state of AI as of today it is!

The human brain is complex and diverse people think in different manners. There are;

Learners – We didn’t come to this world with the ability to make decisions and choices since we were born. We learn by experience – what to wear, what to eat, how to react in different scenarios. To be able to think and evolve that way, a machine should be able to evolve, learn, and improve itself – just like humans do.

Reasoners – Logic and reasoning are what makes all humans different and the human brain complicated. Sometimes, the reasoning is too simple and follows a traditional method, but for some things, generalizations don’t work at all. Reasoning can be based on facts, rules, and experiences; Machines are required to know all of it to be able to reason in a precise manner.

Visionaries – Combining the power of reasoning and learning; visionaries are able to give the power and capability to a machine to be able to perceive and think, to make decisions, choices, and foretell.

Linguists – For a machine to interact with humans, it should be able to talk just like human beings do. Speech recognition software processes audios into text. Significant progress in speech recognition has been a big step towards the victory of AI.

AI systems that can be compared with human intelligence should have all the four aspects combined into one.

As humans, we learn faster, process things faster even with less data; however machines need loads of data to infer anything useful. This could change in the future, though.

Machine learning

There has been crucial progress in machine learning techniques and methods.

Machines can solve real-world problems simply and easily via collecting, analyzing, and processing data from different sources and places. The ultimate aim/goal of machine learning is for the machine to be able to make decisions without human involvement.

Machine learning is useful in medicine, education, digital marketing, search engine results, and much more fields… this branch of AI has an excellent scope as companies rely heavily on machine learning to improve user experience.

Robotics

This is the most hopeful sector of AI, which will create big footsteps in the future to behold. Robotic engineers are continuously thinking of ways, methods to structure robots that behave and interact like humans and think as humans do.

The future generations of engineers or today’s youthful minds are much interested in robotics from the age of 6-7 years, and they are already learning the robotics basics. Robotics has the potent to mold our future in more than one way.

Educational Sector – Entitled as Humanoid robots are helping students learn at their own pace and make learning personalized.

House/Home – Robots which are connected with the cloud have the ability to follow instructions and run the washing machine for us making our manual labor easy, do simple cooking tasks like baking, frying, prepare the dinner table and also turn on the fan for us by keeping us cool—all these without constant indulgence from humans – just a one-time setup.

Offices – In the future to come, robots might/would/ be able to listen to the voices and recognize and understand various instructions and sounds, communicate over voice commands and do simple jobs.

Health Department – Having the capability to comprehend a patient’s condition and also identify their symptoms, robots offer initial first-aid and set up further meetings with doctors.

Companion – Robots can interact and play games. In which context, virtual reality could very well be the buzzword for tomorrow.

The term AI has already created a high buzz, and it will, in the coming future, will definitely see big strides!
