The purpose of your East coast USA holiday might be more about the hustle and bustle of New York, but it is just as important to take some time out from your busy schedule to relax. After all, what’s the point of a vacation that doesn’t leave you relaxed and recharged?

Of all the things you could do to unwind and forget about the stresses in life, there’s nothing better than taking a dip in a hot spring.

Where can you go to enjoy such a luxurious thing? The Olympic National Forest in Washington is one place that is home to a variety of natural hot springs.

>Whether you try one of the rustic springs hidden deep inside the forest or want more of pampering, there are resorts for treatments and offering saunas.

One thing’s for sure, most hot springs come with their own amazing visual treats and views of the surrounding landscape.

One especially thrilling thing to experience is popping into a hot spring while there’s a nice coating of snow throughout the area. The feel of that soothing hot water on your body, while there’s a natural chill in the air is a great example of the unbridled power of nature.

Goldmyer Hot Springs

Goldmyer Hot Springs can be found at the finishing point of a trail through the wilderness that stretches for four and a half miles.

When you arrive, evening time is best, you will find the hot spring inside a cave at a spot that gives you the chance to soak up the warmth while taking in the view of the stunning greenery.

In order to experience this though you need to book in advance to make sure one of just 20 spots has been reserved for you. This does require some preparation, but it helps to ensure the hot springs are not overcrowded and looked after properly.

Carson Hot Mineral Springs

As you can only reach these springs by completing the hike, you’ll find they are less populated and will have a choice of seven different pools in what is arguably one of the best and most beautiful hot springs in all of the PNW.
