This guy at PhotoInduction shows a pretty cool experiment he did. He tries to erase a CD with high voltage electricity. Yes you heard it right, with electricity! As you can see in the video he passes electricity from both the side on the CD and you can see it getting erased.
I would not recommend trying this at home because you can create ozone, x-rays and of course, electric shock. But the way he did is really bizzare!
