The smart phone market is dominated by big names such as Samsung and Apple, and many believed that there is virtually no way that another company might be able to make a name for itself in an already heavily saturated market. With the likes of Nokia and Blackberry losing a significant amount of market share as a result of the popularity of Samsung and Apple, it was a clear indication that the market had become completely saturated. Apparently, that is not the case, as Chinese manufacturer Huawei has taken the fray, and announced that the company has become the third largest producer of smart phones in the current market.

With an impressive range of smart phones that are currently being provided by the company, there is no doubt that Huawei wants to capitalize on its position and become an even more successful company. So, when the company held an event in London, it attracted quite a significant audience and the Huawei P6 was introduced to the world. A 4.7 inch 720p screen encased in a gorgeous metallic case, the Huawei P6 is designed to compete with the best of the best, such as the Xperia Z, the iPhone 5 and the Samsung S4.

So, what sets this phone apart from the countless other Andoird devices that are currently available in the market? Well, Huawei touts it to be the thinnest phone on the market, and standing at just over 6 mm, the Huawei P6 is the thinnest in the smart phone line. The company itself stated that with the Huawei P6, their main focus rested upon improving the User interface, the camera of the device as well as the design. So far, it seems that the company has managed to nail these down.

There are a number of different widgets and built in options within the app, such as the Me Widget, which allows you to optimize your widgets and your apps based upon the location. The phone comes with Android 4.2.2 and a custom designed skin built on top. As per the company’s statement, over 300 unique improvements have been made to the device in order to make it more user friendly and much easier to use. Content sharing has been markedly improved, allowing you to share data and content over your television, mobile or tablet. The price is estimated to be around $600 off contract.
