The primary currency in the game is ‘donuts’, so if you want to get very far, you will have to generate revenue, which comes when you create buildings such as banks, etc. The thing is, you are unlikely to get very far with the money generated within the game only, so if you actually want to build a good quality town, you will have to spend a decent amount of money. In game transactions are rife, and as EA has a notorious reputation of milking the money of gamer’s, you can expect a whole host of different transactions that are based on real money only. But, all in all, it’s a good game that provides a great playing experience.
