The Simpsons have been regarded as the most popular TV shows of all time, amassing a major fan following from all areas of the globe. Having been running for over 20 years, the show has also seen a range of different expansions in different fields, with movies having been created as well as a number of different games. Now, EA has created the Simpsons Tapped Out game, which is essentially a town building game, in which you must build the fabled town of Springfield from scratch. The number of options available within the game is pretty high, so I can assure you that it is worth the download.

One thing that must be clarified beforehand is that when you download the game, you will be running on EA’s Origin servers, so if the servers crash (EA does not have a very good reputation with their Origin Service), you are likely to be barred out of the game until and unless the servers are back up and running. Several issues have also been reported in the past. Secondly, this game is freemium, so even though you can download it for free, it is unlikely that you will be able to get very far without making any financial purchases with actual money.

Now, when you enter the game, you will take direct control of the Simpsons characters. Apart from being able to construct a number of different buildings and landmark items, altering natural terrain is also available at your discretion, such as creating rivers, etc. From pavements to decorations to creating houses, the amount of options available are significantly large, and the game is going to draw you in with its good quality visuals and well done game design.

The primary currency in the game is ‘donuts’, so if you want to get very far, you will have to generate revenue, which comes when you create buildings such as banks, etc. The thing is, you are unlikely to get very far with the money generated within the game only, so if you actually want to build a good quality town, you will have to spend a decent amount of money. In game transactions are rife, and as EA has a notorious reputation of milking the money of gamer’s, you can expect a whole host of different transactions that are based on real money only. But, all in all, it’s a good game that provides a great playing experience.
